ABOUT US
Our Mission is to promote awareness and appreciation of chamber music specifically, and the arts in general. Since 2001 Musica Viva, under the artistic direction of violinist David Ehrlich, has been providing chamber music performances by internationally-acclaimed musicians to communities in the New River Valley and throughout Southwest Virginia. Musica Viva was created with the certainty that access to the arts, in its many manifestations, is universally cited as central to the quality of life in a community.
Blacksburg-based Musica Viva is a registered 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization. All donations to it are tax-deductible to the full extent allowed by law. It is governed by a Board of Directors that represents the business and educational communities of Blacksburg. All members of the Board of Directors and the Artistic Director are volunteers and serve without compensation.
